A Wonderful Cricket Day 2019

Earlier in the week, Hove Soiree members attended this year’s ‘Where Cricket Meets Rotary’ lunch at Sussex County Cricket Club. The annual lunch, that also included more than 150 other guests, was organised by Brighton & Hove Soiree Rotary Club and supported by staff from Mishon Mackay.  It raised £7,788 for local charities including FareShare, The Martlets, The Starr Trust and Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice.

It was a great afternoon of cricket between Sussex and Worcestershire, comedy from Ian Irving and an auction with prizes donated by local businesses. Angela Farthing, Financial Director at Mishon Mackay said: “What a fantastic turn out it has been this year, and a great way to raise money for such brilliant local charities. We’re really pleased to support our friends at the Rotary Club and to help our local communities.”

Simon Alldis, President of Brighton & Hove Soiree Rotary Club, added: “We are delighted to have raised £7,788 during this year’s charity cricket lunch and always have great fun working with the team at Mishon Mackay. It’s fantastic to have their support and know that the money raised will go on to support some tremendous local charities.”
